... but I‘ve yet to find one that offers a little bit of everything in addition to feeling like a VACATION, rather than a bootcamp!

...the options are usually limited to just one genre or speciality...or they only cater to only those wanting to shoot all day, every day and not actually experience the destination, culture and a little luxury too.

Our photo tours are the all-in-one solution for equine and dog photographers who want enjoy the destination, out from behind the lens!

Prior to becoming a photographer, I spent 15 YEARS in tourism and high end hospitality, making people’s vacations the trip of a lifetime.

From vacation rentals, to luxury super yachts, to weekend photography workshops to serving presidents, I’ve done it all...and when I realized that there was huge demand for photography centered travel that favors brunches over backpacks that leaves you feeling inspired, connected and rejuvenated instead of exhausted, UN-RETREAT was born!

Prepare for immersive week of photography, scenery, great food and lasting memories! Details, activities and schedule are subject to change. ALL food, transport and activities below are included.

Meet close to London Heathrow to start our leisurely trip down to Conwy, Wales, stopping in at a few picturesque spots for snacks and snapshots along the way! Evening check in and dinner at our accommodation.

This is our day with the Carneddau Ponies! The day will be lead by Award-winning wildlife photographer, Kevin Morgans who will share his extensive knowledge of these majestic beasts and other wildlife photography tips.

conwy - ABERYSTWYTH

Scenic drive through Snowdonia with a few stops along the way, including a castle! We will check in at our very own house at Nanteos Mansion and enjoy a Welcome feast in the main house!

ABERYSTWYTH

Early morning on-location session followed by a tour of Nanteos mansion and grounds with a local historian. Then dinner and evening activities await.

ABERYSTWYTH

Surprise excursion followed by an evening photography session with doggy models and traditional fish supper at the nearby seafront of Aberystwyth!

ABERYSTWYTH

We will start the day with a morning on-location session, then recharge with a delicious traditional afternoon tea and an evening of fun, food and relaxation

ABERYSTWYTH

We’ll end our stay with a final equine/dog session, classroom session and a celebratory dinner to round out our week together.

ABERYSTWYTH - LONDON

After a hearty departure breakfast, we’ll head back to London making a few stops along the way and say “see you next time” to our new friends!

FAQ

What is the application process?

Simply complete the application form, if selected you will receive information on how to confirm your spot and pay your $1000 deposit.

Who is this trip suitable for?

Those who will get the most from this trip will be equine, pet or wildlife photographers who are currently in or starting a business, however, due to the small group nature of the trip, a hobbyist/amateur photographer will still get a lot out of the photo shoots, activities and scenery.

What are the arrival/departure dates

We suggest planning to arrive on August 25th or 26th as we will be heading directly to Wales on the 27th. We will be returning to London Heathrow area at a leisurely pace on September 3rd, so make sure your return flight is on or after Sept 4th. We can provide suggestions for onward travel if you would like to extend your stay.

What about food?

*All food is included from Day 1 lunch onwards, except any treats/snacks that you may wish to purchase when out and about. Alcoholic drinks are not included. Even though you will be very well fed, we will also be making a few grocery trips along the way should you wish to purchase alcohol, toiletries etc

What about the weather?

Ah yes! the one thing over which we have NO control. Photography Sessions will go ahead, even if it’s raining. A willingness to be flexible is important - We do have a little wiggle room built into our schedule in the event that we have to postpone any sessions due to extreme weather, and some backup options up our sleeves...but don’t forget to pack your rain gear and a smile!

What about cancellation?

If we cancel the trip, you will get a full refund... however we cannot be held liable for any other costs incurred such as travel or accommodation that you may have booked. Please take out trip insurance and/or refundable reservations to cover this!

If you cancel your spot at any point we can only offer you a refund if you are able to find someone suitable to fill your spot. They will be subject to the application process, just like any other applicant.
